Girls and young feminist Palestinians and their allies are at the forefront of revolutionary resistance and organising. Rooted in a transformative love ethic, they work towards achieving the liberation and peace of past, present, and future Palestine.
Woven together with illustrations, pictures, poems, reflections, letters, research, and more, akin to the traditional Palestinian Tatreez practice, Towards Our Liberation is an offering, an invitation, and a call to action to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and to recognise its central role in our collective liberation.
Resistance and Hope
Resistance is palpable in every facet of Palestinian girls and young feminists’ lives. From the moment they are born they are fighting against a settler colonial, apartheid, racist, military apparatus seeking to control their bodies, mind, and ancestral land.
Yet, girls resist and dream. Dream of a future they can live in freedom, where resistance will no longer be a prerequisite for daily existence.
“Unless Palestine is free, everything we do and dream of will continue to be overwhelming, in light of the settler colonial, apartheid, racist, military apparatus controlling every aspect of our lives. With the constant killing, mass arrest, displacement, surveillance, and bombing, it would be very unfair or unrealistic, and certainly not durable to be thinking on the personal individual level only, because the dreams and hopes would never be fully achieved unless there’s a sustaining environment that can maintain our dreams.”

Palestinian Girls’ Resistance: Towards Our Liberation is a publication curated with the experiences, wisdom, pain, dreams, and power of six Palestinian activists fighting against the occupation and systems of oppression while pushing towards liberation.
